GEONARDO hosted the M30 meeting in Budapest (Hungary) on 23-24 May 2017. The first day meeting was held in Geonardo office in Graphisoft Park, while a visit to the largest oil refinery of the Hungarian Oil Company, close to Budapest in Százhalombatta, was organized during the second day meeting.
Civil works in demonstration site started in January 2017. The works for the installation of the final industrial demonstrator have begun. It is foreseen that the direct heat exchanger and ORC demonstrator will be commissioned in July 2017.
Compressed air produced in December 2016 within WP6. The transmission module to couple the ORC and air compressor was designed, built and installed in the pilot ORC equipment in Tecnalia´s facilities. In december 2016 the concept of creating compressed air from the postcombustion gases of a furnace in Tecnalia´s pilot plant was tested succesfully.
First reporting period approved by EC in December 2016. The EC revised the progress of the project in September 2016 with the help of two external experts and accepted all the technical and economical reports in December 2016.
Cementi Rossi will host demo plant with Direct heat exchanger in strict collaboration with TURBODEN. Design of direct heat exchanger is in progress.
WHRS will capture heat from the mixing chamber and make it available to the ORC system to produce electricity and heat for Cementi Rossi plant.
